Taylor Swift and Blake Lively ‘have made amends’: Source

(NewsNation) — Her popularity may be at an all-time low, and she may be getting slammed on social media on the daily, but Blake Lively has one bright spot in her life: Her powerful best friend and personal “dragon” Taylor Swift is talking to her again.

I was the first to report along with the DailyMail that Swift had cooled the longtime friendship after she was left appalled and embarrassed by being unknowingly dragged into the “It Ends With Us” drama last year.

But apparently, that is now in the past.

”(Swift and Lively) have worked everything out,” my source said. “Blake apologized and they are talking again.”

Blake Lively files complaint against ‘It Ends With Us’ co-star Justin Baldoni

In December, Lively filed a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department against “It Ends With Us” co-star, writer, director and producer Justin Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment and a coordinated “plan” seeking to “destroy” her reputation.

Baldoni then sued Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and her publicist Leslie Sloane for $400 million, denying the allegations and claiming the trio sought to “destroy” him.

Swift’s name was mentioned several times in the Lively v. Baldoni lawsuits.

Taylor Swift mentioned in Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni lawsuits

”Taylor is annoyed she was brought into this,” a source told me in January. “She was supporting her friend — and went to her house to hang out, and now that (hangout) is part of (Baldoni’s) lawsuit. It’s a lot.”

Swift was mentioned twice in Baldoni’s lawsuit — first when Lively, texting Baldoni, compared herself to Khaleesi from “Game of Thrones,” writing: “If you ever get around to watching Game of Thrones, you’ll appreciate that I’m Khaleesi, and like her, I happen to have a few dragons. For better or worse, but usually better. Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. You will too, I can promise you.” (Swift and Reynolds being the dragons).

Swift was then actually named by Baldoni in his suit when he claimed he went for a meeting at Lively’s NYC apartment to discuss a scene she had rewritten on her own accord and was “ambushed” by Reynolds and Swift, who both claimed Lively’s scene was better than the original.

Swift is expected to be deposed by Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, later this summer.
