Cyrus’ claim to fame began when she was cast on the Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana” in 2006, where she played a teenage girl who lived a double life as a pop star.
The show was immensely popular for Disney, averaging between 4 million and 5 million viewers during its four-season run, according to Forbes. The show ended in 2011.
“Now that’s something that when I walk into a space, it’s looked at as a sense of nostalgia… but I’ve now been integrated into everyone’s life as the character itself,” she told Olsen
The “Flowers” singer previously mentioned that she wasn’t allowed to sing any songs from the show since it’s cancellation, but was given permission to perform “Hannah Montana” songs, including “The Best of Both Worlds” and “Nobody’s Perfect” after she was named a Disney Legend at D23 last year, according to Variety.
