(NewsNation) — David and Victoria Beckham’s son, Cruz Beckham, has shut down rumors that his parents unfollowed his brother, Brooklyn Beckham, amid rumors of a family rift.
Cruz Beckham shared a screenshot on his Instagram Stories on Sunday of a Daily Mail article about his parents unfollowing his brother, saying that they were blocked, according to People magazine.
“NOT TRUE,” Cruz wrote, clarifying, “My mum and dad would never unfollow their son … Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked … as did I.”
When Instagram users block someone they were following, the platform automatically removes them from their following lists.
Victoria and David Beckham still follow Cruz and their other son, Romeo Beckham.
The Beckhams allegedly feuding
Rumors of a feud circulated shortly after the couple’s 2022 wedding, when Nicola Peltz Beckham told Variety she wanted to wear a dress from her mother-in-law’s collection, but that Victoria Beckham “realized that her atelier couldn’t do it,” forcing Peltz to pick another dress.
She denied reports of issues with Victoria Beckham, alleging news outlets “ran” with the story.
The Peltz Beckhams were noticeably absent from David Beckham’s 50th birthday party in May in London.
Rumors of a family rift escalated when Brooklyn did not wish David a “Happy Father’s Day” or acknowledge David Beckham’s post celebrating the day, according to Buzzfeed.
David Beckham also posted a picture of himself and Brooklyn, with the caption: “Love You @brooklynpeltzsbeckham.”
