(NewsNation) — An arrest has been made in the 2024 shooting of celebrity chef Tobias Dorzon, reports said.

Devin Spivey, 21, has been charged with 18 counts, including attempted first-degree murder. Police said that Spivey is one of five suspects in the case. The four other suspects remain at large.

Investigators found surveillance video from a nearby gas station showing Spivey’s white SUV, which matched the description of the vehicle used in the incident.

“I know people might expect me to say a lot today, but truthfully, I don’t have much to say. Because how do you put words to something like this?” Dorzon wrote on Instagram.

In November 2024, Dorzon was shot during an attempted robbery in Maryland. Four suspects attempted to rob him and the woman he was walking with. Dorzon and the woman were transported to a local hospital.

Dorzon’s injuries were serious, so much so that he had to learn how to walk again.

“There’s no training for getting shot,” added Dorzon. “No script for learning how to live with it. I’m still figuring out how to feel. Still learning how to breathe in this new version of my life. But I do know this — God had His hand on me that night. He covered me. He covered us. And I thank Him every single day for keeping me here.”

Spivey is being held without bond.
