(NewsNation) — Hollywood is reeling over the deaths of filmmaker Rob Weiner and his wife, Michele Singer, over the weekend.

While Reiner is known as a heavyweight director and actor, having directed “When Harry Met Sally,” “A Few Good Men,” and “Misery,” his wife, Michele Singer, also had a career behind the camera.

Singer, 68, and Reiner, 78, met while he was filming “When Harry Met Sally,” with the director saying meeting her inspired him to change the end of the movie.

“The original ending had Harry and Sally not ending up together,” Reiner told CNN’s Chris Wallace in 2024. “But then I met Michele, and I thought: OK, I see how this works.”

Singer was a photographer, producer and actress who worked alongside her husband on projects including “Misery,” “Shock and Awe” and the documentary “Albert Brooks: Defending My Life,” which earned her and Reiner an Emmy nomination, according to her IMDb page.

The Hollywood director and Singer were found dead inside their Brentwood, California, home on Sunday, KTLA has confirmed.

Their son, Nick Reiner, has been arrested in connection with their deaths. He is currently being held without bail, which was previously set at $4 million.
