(NewsNation) — Comedian Pete Davidson is going to be a first-time dad.   

The actor’s girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, confirmed the news on her Instagram, with images of a sonogram, as well as pictures of her and Davidson.   

“Welp, now everyone knows we had sex,” Hewitt wrote on Instagram to her 1 million followers.

Hewitt is reportedly due in the winter and had already begun telling friends and family, according to TMZ, which was first to report the news.  

Davidson and Hewitt sparked dating rumors in March when they were photographed together in Palm Beach, Florida, People reported.   

A source told People that the couple moved in together in May and are “splitting their time between Pete’s house in upstate New York and a brownstone they recently started renting in Brooklyn.”  

In 2022, the “Saturday Night Live” alum expressed a desire to become a father, telling fellow comedian Kevin Hart on his talk show “Hart to Heart” that his “dream was to have a child.  

“It’s super corny, but it would be so fun to dress up a little dude,” he told Hart. “I’m so excited for that chapter so that’s kind of what I’m just preparing for now, is trying to be like good as a dude and develop and get better so when that happens it’s just easier.”
