(NewsNation) — Negotiations are underway within the royal family to boot Prince Andrew from the Windsor Lodge, the 30-room mansion that he has lived in for decades, sources tell NewsNation’s Paula Froelich.

The negotiations come just days after Andrew announced he would be renouncing his royal titles, including the Duke of York, after a “discussion with the King.”

Royal family reeling over Prince Andrew, Jeffrey Epstein connection

The royal family has been reeling after an email from 2011 surfaced, revealing Andrew supporting Jeffrey Epstein after a photo showed Andrew with his arm around a teenage Virginia Giuffre.

The email, dated late February, was sent the day a picture of Andrew, Giuffre and Ghislaine Maxwell was made public. Other messages Andrew wrote to Epstein included “keep in close touch” and one that expressed a wish to “play some more soon.”

“I’m just as concerned for you!” the email said. “Don’t worry about me! It would seem we are in this together and will have to rise above it. Otherwise keep in close touch and we’ll play some more soon!!!!”

Giuffre had for years accused Andrew of sexually abusing her on multiple occasions when she was under 18 years old and a victim of sexual trafficking by convicted sex offender Epstein and his former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell.

The 65-year-old prince has “vigorously” denied Giuffre’s claims.
