(NewsNation) — A man was arrested on Wednesday in Ireland’s County Cork after police found 26lbs of suspected cocaine in his vehicle.

The Garda, Ireland’s national police force, released a statement on Thursday confirmed a man in his 30s had been arrested and was in custody after searching his vehicle in Glanmire.

According to gardaí, the drugs had an approximate street value of $876,000.

In a statement on Friday, Garda said the man had been charged and was due to appear in court later that morning.

The Irish Mirror reported that Latvian national, Rihards Maceks, 31, was denied bail and charged with possession and possession for supply or sale of drugs.

He is due to appear at Cork District Court again on Dec. 27.
