(NewsNation) —The criminal trial for Sean “Diddy” Combs featured opening statements Monday from both the prosecution and defense. Prosecutors played the hotel video depicting Combs allegedly beating ex-partner Cassie Ventura, which is a strong way to start, NewsNation legal contributor Jesse Weber told NewsNation’s “Elizabeth Vargas Reports.” But consultant Claudia Colon noted that because the jury is diverse, the video could be interpreted in a variety of ways.
