MORENA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A sinkhole larger than most passenger vehicles forced the closure of a San Diego intersection on Wednesday night and into Thursday morning.
The sinkhole was first reported around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, San Diego police said.
The sinkhole is at the intersection of Morena Blvd. and Sherman St.
A stretch of southbound Morena Blvd. was closed to traffic, with the closure expected to continue throughout the day, police said.
One lane of northbound Morena Blvd. remains open.
Police initially controlled traffic until city crews arrived on the scene.
