An 18-year-old from Ontario was arrested for reckless driving in an incident that was captured on intersection cameras over the weekend.

Several callers reported that a white pickup truck was doing donuts near Riverside Drive and Fern Avenue in Chino, the Chino Police Department stated in a Wednesday Facebook post that also showed video of the arrest.

Officers arrived in the area and located the truck, which community members also confirmed as the vehicle involved in the incident.

The unidentified driver was detained and arrested without incident. He was later booked on suspicion of reckless driving and vandalism, and the truck was impounded for 30 days.

Surveillance video from nearby intersection cameras showed the truck being driven recklessly on neighborhood streets while another person stood outside and recorded the stunts.

The incident left visible damage to the roadway.

“We thank the residents who called in and assisted officers. Together, we’re keeping our streets safe and our roadways free from damage,” police said.
