SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Thousands of drone sightings across the East Coast have been causing a panic in Washington, and now, the mysterious sightings have made their way to San Diego.
“The drones have arrived in north county San Diego” is what a video, taken around 6 p.m. in Escondido on Dec. 11, says, and it’s is gaining attention on social media, with over 100,000 views on TikTok.
The man who took the video said he saw three of the drones in the sky at one point.
A woman in Aliso Viejo, in southern Orange County, also got a clear view of the unidentified objects last Monday late at night.
There’s also been reported sightings elsewhere in Southern California, in Redondo Beach and the San Fernando Valley.
At a hearing this week, the U.S. Military said it has no idea what they are, and on Sunday, lawmakers provided an update to this rapidly growing problem.
The mysterious drones were first spotted in northern New Jersey in mid-November. Now, they’ve been seen all over the country, from New York and Maryland to Minnesota and California, and even internationally.
