(NewsNation) — A parachutist became entangled in the netting of a field-goal post before a college football bowl game Friday before falling to the ground.
In the video, a parachutist at the annual Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth, Texas, can be seen getting caught on field-goal netting and falling approximately 35 feet, or the height of the goal posts.
A spokesperson for the Armed Forces Bowl informed NewsNation that “the parachutist walked off under his own power, and no one on the field was injured.”
The incident occurred before a game between Texas State and Rice in which Texas State won 41-10.
During the pregame, there were several military-inspired festivities, including a fighter jet flyover and multiple parachutists landing in the stadium, according to local outlet WFAA in Fort Worth.
