(NewsNation) — Despite previous reports that Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, was banned from football facilities at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NewsNation local affiliate WNCN has confirmed that isn’t the case.

WNCN received the following statement from Carolina Athletics:

“While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities. Jordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick’s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.”

Despite this statement, TMZ Sports did report April 28 that officials with UNC were “concerned about Hudson’s influence on Belichick’s tenure as the head football coach.”

Podcast host stands by reporting, says he filed ‘dozens of FOIA requests’

Pablo Torre, the host of the podcast “Pablo Torre Finds Out,” reported on his podcast this week that Hudson had allegedly been banned from facilities. After the university’s statement, he wrote a statement on X saying he stands by his reporting.

“UNC can now choose to describe or change its position on Jordon Hudson’s involvement however it wishes, following the publication of our episode,” he said.

Torre went on to say, “We requested comment and filed dozens of FOIA requests that were not satisfied. And we stand by the specific reporting in our episode, which came from the highest levels of the football program.”

The podcast host claimed that Hudson had been banned from the university’s football facility, with one alleged Belichick family source saying, “There is deep worry for how detrimental Jordon can be for not just North Carolina but Bill’s legacy, reputation — everything he has built and worked for over decades.”

Bill Belichick’s girlfriend Jordon Hudson delays CBS interview

All of this comes after Belichick’s interview with CBS, where Hudson shot down a question from Tony Dokoupil about how she and Belichick met. The interview was meant to be used as a promotion tool for his new book.

However, Hudson reportedly delayed the CBS interview, saying, “We’re not talking about this,” when the question arose and storming out later. Hudson allegedly wanted Belichick to leave the room with her, and one source said that Dokoupil was “spooked” by the experience.

After that interview, Hudson showed off a new ring at an event in New York City, sparking conversation about a potential engagement. NewsNation’s Paula Froelich spoke with one insider who said, “It was a very old school New York City event — ladies who lunch type thing — no one had any clue what they were doing there unless somehow they’ve roped him into being a supporter.”

The insider also said:

”They were at a table of people who were her age — looked like a bunch of PR people — and no one talked to anyone. They were on their phones the whole time. Everyone at that table looked very, very bored. And (Belichick) looked very, very out of place. It was creepy. He looked like he was her grandfather sitting at the kid’s table, trying to make time go faster by playing on his phone.”

Bill Belichick’s family and friends concerned: Insider

Belichick seems happy with Hudson, but an insider told the New York Post that Hudson “saw an opening” and “took” the opportunity to wiggle her way in.

“This guy is known as being such a strong voice and in many ways autocratic — and here he is becoming mush in her hands and letting her direct everything,” the source said.

Belichick has allegedly turned over professional responsibilities to Hudson, who now signs her email “chief operating officer of Belichick Productions,” according to Froelich.

After the CBS interview, the famed coach’s daughter-in-law reportedly said, “Publicists act in a professional manner and don’t ‘storm’ off set delaying an interview.”

In Belichick’s recent book, The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football, he mentions Hudson saying, “Thank you to my idea mill and creative muse, Jordon Hudson.”
