(NewsNation) — A Texas sheriff investigating the disappearance of Camila Mendoza Olmos says he believes a driver’s dashcam video they were provided shows the teen walking near her home.

“The motorist got to thinking, I may have seen somebody that matched that description on my morning commute the other day,” Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar told “CUOMO.”

Olmos, 19, vanished after her mother said she went on one of her regular walks around the neighborhood early Wednesday, Dec. 24. Police said Olmos was wearing a black North Face sweater with blue accents, baby blue pajama shorts and white shoes when she went missing.

Salazar acknowledged Olmos may have disappeared of her own volition. However, he said they have not ruled out anything in the case, including kidnapping or human trafficking.

“She could have just wanted to get away, gather her thoughts,” he said. “There is a concern regarding self-harm, so that could be what’s going on here, is she may have gone and harmed herself, or she could have been abducted. At this point, we’re looking at that whole spectrum of possibilities until such time as some prevailing evidence emerges that leads us one way or the other.”

Before receiving the second video, investigators said a person believed to be Olmos was seen on surveillance video around 7 a.m. appearing to be searching in her car for something.

Investigators say the only items Olmos had on her were her car keys and possibly a driver’s license. Olmos disappeared while walking, leaving her vehicle behind at her home. Her cell phone was also left in her home.
