MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police say a woman robbed a man of his walker and his wallet on a downtown Memphis street Sunday.

Angela Jardon, 48, is charged with aggravated robbery and is booked at Jail East.

Police say the victim flagged down police and told them he was walking on Adams Avenue near Juvenile Court when he saw a woman he didn’t know lying in the grass in front of the courthouse.

He says the woman approached him, swinging a black stick. He ducked and fell to the ground.

That’s when the woman allegedly reached in his pocket and took out his wallet with $30 cash inside. She then took his walker, he said.

Police say they found Jardon in the same place on Adams Avenue, with the victim’s walker and wallet.
