TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The “heels” of WWE weren’t the only ones drawing heat at a Tampa wrestling event over the weekend.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis received a less-than-welcoming reception when he made an appearance at Saturday Night Main Event at the Yuengling Center.

Videos posted to X show the crowd chanting “you suck” and booing the governor when he appeared ringside. He seemed to take it in stride, though, and laughed off the crowd’s jeering.

DeSantis also met with wrestling legend Hulk Hogan in Clearwater to “throw back” a can of Real American Beer with “the Hulkster.”
