Man wanted for allegedly strangling woman in Walmart parking lot

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department is actively searching for a man wanted in connection with a recent domestic violence investigation. 

Detectives say 49-year-old Jason Randall is wanted on one count of domestic abuse battery by strangulation and one count of misdemeanor domestic abuse battery. 

According to police, the Shreveport Police Department’s Domestic Violence Unit began investigating multiple incidents involving Randall, including one that occurred on April 25, 2025, in the parking lot of Walmart on Westport Avenue. 

Officers responded to the scene at 6251 Westport Ave. after the victim reported a verbal altercation had escalated. Investigators say Randall allegedly strangled the victim during the dispute. Officers documented visible injuries and initiated a follow-up investigation. 

Based on the evidence gathered, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Randall on May 7.
