HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton Police was on the scene of a barricade situation at a gun shop on Friday.
Around 6:35 a.m., officers received a call regarding a burglary in the area and saw an individual outside the building. The suspect ran back into the building after seeing the officers, and a perimeter was established.
The individual was reportedly barricaded inside Superior Pawn and Gun in the 100 block of West Mercury Boulevard.
West Mercury Boulevard eastbound and westbound lanes were shutdown between North Kings Street and LaSalle Avenue.
