TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) — An active shooter was reported at the Student Union at Florida State University on Thursday.

Video taken by a student, Ryan Cedergren, shows the moment police arrived on the scene as people fled the student union building with sirens blaring in the background.

In a post on X, Ryan said, “I was in the FSU student union. We were just evacuated by police and are safe. Sending fervent prayers to all impacted, and huge thank you to FSU police, Tallahassee police, and everyone who came to help.”

Another video of the scene shows police cars lining up on the campus as law enforcement cleared rooms on the main campus, instructing students to shelter in place.
