(NewsNation) — There is one less danger on the streets of Texas.

Thanks to Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden Morgan Inman, an alligator was captured and taken away Saturday.

According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, Inman and Buna fireman Robert McCurley nabbed the prehistoric beast south of Buna, Texas — two hours northeast of Houston — on Highway 96.

“We appreciate all of our state and local partners and their efforts. This monster could’ve caused a lot of damage!” the Facebook post from Jasper County Sheriff’s Office read.

It is unclear where the animal was transported to.
