General Motors recalls nearly 24K Chevrolet Corvettes

(NewsNation) — The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced that General Motors has recalled thousands of Chevrolet Corvettes.

The recall was issued due to the fact that “a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source, such as hot engine or exhaust components, can increase the risk of a fire.”

Overall, 23,656 vehicles were included in the recall, which affects three different types of 2023-2026 Corvettes equipped with a left-side radiator/fan combination.

“Dealers will install a shield to divert spilled fuel, free of charge,” said the NHTSA. “Owner letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed October 6, 2025.”

Chevy Corvette owners can check if their vehicle is part of the recall by searching their car’s make or model.

Just two months ago, General Motors also recalled over 62,000 Chevy trucks due to an issue with brake pressure that can cause fires.
