(NewsNation) — Endico Potatoes Inc. is recalling bags of its frozen vegetables over concerns they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

According to the company announcement, posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Thursday, the affected products are the 2.5lbs bags of frozen “Peas and Carrots” and “Mixed Vegetables.” The company notes that the bags in question were sold between July 18 and August 4 in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Florida and Washington D.C.

The contamination was revealed during sampling done in Pennsylvania by a distributor. Listeria infections could lead to serious health consequences for pregnant women, young children, elderly people and those with weakened immune systems. The company said it is conducting an investigation to determine the source of the contamination.

No illnesses associated with the frozen vegetables have been reported so far. Customers have been warned to avoid consuming the vegetables and to return the bags to the place of purchase for a full refund.
