WESTLAKE, Ohio (WJW) – Westlake police are warning residents about a porch pirate dressed as an Amazon worker in the area.

According to a post on the City of Westlake Ohio Police Department’s Facebook page, about 15 minutes after FedEx delivered a package to a home in Westlake, a man wearing an Amazon vest ran up to the house and stole the package.

Westlake police are now asking residents if they know who the pirate is to try and stop him from stealing the next package delivery.

“Note the Amazon vest. No, we do not believe he actually works for a legitimate delivery company,” the Facebook post said.

Westlake police ask that anyone who might have information about the thief call 440-871-3311.
