New York recalls 37 cannabis products over pesticide levels, licensing concerns

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEXSTAR) — The New York State Office of Cannabis Management expanded a recall issued on June 11 of products from licensed weed producer IndoGro LLC on Friday. They added 28 more product lots over concerns about pesticides and cannabis from an unlicensed source.

IndoGro products are currently being recalled over pesticide concerns

The license number for IndoGro is OCM-MICR-24-000099. The recalled products could be branded as Indi, Grow by Indi, Our Creation, and Grow with Us. They’re supposed to feature a version of this stylized “INDI” logo:

You can return recalled products, even if they’re open, at the dispensary where you bought them. According to OCM, dispensaries and distributors immediately have to stop selling them. Here’s the full list of all 37 recalled product lots:

OCM, the state agency controlling and monitoring marijuana, had originally recalled only nine product lots from IndoGro after retesting showed unsafe pesticide levels. The agency said such pesticides violate New York cannabis rules on independent laboratory test samples. They said retesting was necessary after a previously approved laboratory provided invalid results.

OCM said their investigation found that IndoGro also used cannabis from a source that was not licensed by the agency, violating public health and drug laws. The agency called the products in question adulterated, meaning they’re unsafe and potentially harmful.
