OCM, the state agency controlling and monitoring marijuana, had originally recalled only nine product lots from IndoGro after retesting showed unsafe pesticide levels. The agency said such pesticides violate New York cannabis rules on independent laboratory test samples. They said retesting was necessary after a previously approved laboratory provided invalid results.

OCM said their investigation found that IndoGro also used cannabis from a source that was not licensed by the agency, violating public health and drug laws. The agency called the products in question adulterated, meaning they’re unsafe and potentially harmful.

If you have medical concerns related to marijuana use, contact your health care provider or the Poison Center at (800) 222-1222.
