Man arrested after robbing 10-year-old in Brooklyn: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Police have arrested the suspect accused of robbing a 10-year-old boy while he was walking with his 7-year-old sister in Brooklyn, according to the NYPD.

Demba Ba, 24, was arrested Friday in connection to the incident. Ba allegedly walked up to the young boy at 11:02 a.m. on June 7, police said. Ba then snatched eight dollars from the young victim before running away, authorities said.

Ba was charged with robbery, grand larceny, harassment and other charges, according to the NYPD.

The young boy and his sister were not injured in the incident.
