BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Police are searching for a man who stabbed another man in an antisemitic hate crime in Brooklyn on Tuesday.
The NYPD said it happened on Kingston Avenue and Lincoln Place around 4:10 p.m. The 35-year-old victim was walking when he was approached by the suspect, according to authorities.
Police said the suspect allegedly made antisemitic statements before stabbing the victim in the chest with a knife. The suspect then fled the scene, going toward Sterling Place and Albany Avenue, according to authorities.
Police said the victim was rushed to a local hospital. The attack is being investigated by the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force.
Dozens of additional police officers have been deployed in Crown Heights to search for the suspect, according to the NYPD.
