(NewsNation) — Authorities are investigating what caused a cargo ship in Baltimore’s harbor to explode on Monday evening, according to Maryland Gov. Wes Moore.

The Baltimore City Fire Department responded around 6:30 p.m. local time to reports of an explosion aboard a commercial vessel in the Patapsco River near the site of the former Key Bridge, which collapsed last year.

All 23 people on board were accounted for, and no injuries had been reported as of Tuesday morning.

W-Sapphire, a 751-foot bulk carrier, had damage consistent with a fire explosion, according to authorities.

Upon inspection, the vessel was still afloat with the assistance of tug boats.

“The vessel will be moved to a designated anchorage area and held there until cleared by the Coast Guard,” fire department officials said.
