WASHINGTON (NewsNation) — A Washington, D.C. woman won $300,000 off a couple of lottery scratch-off tickets in just a matter of months.

Sherri Fowler, a D.C. resident, claimed her second prize June 4 after winning $250,000. In February, she won $50,000, according to a press release from D.C. Lottery.

“I was at the store and started screaming,” she said.” I couldn’t believe it. I had to ask my kids to double-check.”

Fowler said she plans to buy a new car.

The locations where Fowler purchased the tickets are just one block apart in the Northwest neighborhood of Columbia Heights, according to the lottery.
