(NewsNation) — Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ house was broken into while he played in his NFL debut this weekend, according to multiple reports.
Approximately $200,000 was taken from Sanders’ property, police said.
According to the Medina County Sheriff’s Office, three suspects were seen wearing masks and gloves inside Sanders’ house for about 12 minutes.
Sanders, the son of Colorado head coach and NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, joins a growing list of NFL players whose homes have been burglarized during games. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, and New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan have dealt with break-ins since the start of last season.
The incident remains under investigation.
Sanders came into the game against the Baltimore Ravens in the third quarter after QB Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion.
