PLEASANTVILLE, Iowa (WJW) – An Iowa woman has been arrested after she allegedly tried to poison her husband by putting eyedrops in his drink.
According to a press release from the Iowa Department of Public Safety, 39-year-old Daisy Zantjer was arrested on July 30 after an investigation into the poisoning by the Pleasantville Police Department and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
Zantjer was taken into custody and charged with one count of administering harmful substances, according to the release.
According to WJW sister station WHO, Zantjer put eyedrops in her husband’s drink on two separate occasions in July of 2023.
According to the Marion County, Iowa website, Zantjer was also charged with domestic abuse assault or injury.
