INDIANAPOLIS — An investigation has been launched after a man was found dead inside a Planet Fitness on the south side of Indianapolis Monday morning.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to 8707 Hardegan Street shortly before 9 a.m. in response to a death investigation.
According to a police report obtained by FOX59/CBS4, officers arrived and found a deceased male. A woman who was at the facility when the discovery took place said the man was found in a tanning bed.
As of this article’s publication, detectives have not indicated if there is any suspicion of foul play.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the man as 39-year-old Derek E. Sink.
The circumstances of his death remain under investigation.
