(NewsNation) — Corey Lewandowski, a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council, believes ICE must continue to move forward with its operations following the fatal shooting of Renee Good.

Appearing on NewsNation’s “On Balance,” Lewandowski spoke to the reevaluation he believes is necessary in the Trump administration.

“It’s called double down. It’s called the people of these communities deserve to be safe and secure and not be subjected to the crimes that illegal immigrants continue to perpetrate against Americans,” Lewandowski said.

“Donald Trump ran on a platform to raid our communities of these individuals who aren’t supposed to be here. Some say as many as 20 million illegals have poured into the country under the Biden administration, and President Trump is going to fulfill the campaign promise to return those people to their home countries,” he added.

Protests have begun nationwide since the shooting of Good, a 37-year-old mother who was protesting ICE operations in Minneapolis, and are expected to continue through the weekend.
