GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The mother and stepfather of a woman who was killed in Michigan have been arrested, multiple sources report.
Cortney Bartholomew, 40, and Bradly Bartholomew, 47, were arrested Sunday night by the Wexford County Sheriff’s Office in connection to the death of Rebecca Park, according to 9&10News.
Park went missing Nov. 4. At the time, she was listed as 38 weeks pregnant. The news made headlines across the state and triggered multiple searches around northern Michigan. Her body was found by a search party Nov. 25 in the Manistee National Forest.
Over the weekend, police confirmed the baby was not with Park’s body and launched a separate search.
The Bartholomews were set to be arraigned on charges on Monday, but, according to UpNorthLive, the prosecutor asked to delay the arraignment until Tuesday to have more time to put together the criminal complaint. Bond has been denied for both individuals at the prosecutor’s request, 9&10 News reported.
Rebecca Park’s fiancé, Richard Falor, and her sister, Kimberly Park, were arrested earlier last month and charged with multiple crimes, including tampering with evidence and lying to investigators.
