MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man and a woman are now in jail after being accused of driving through the crime scene of a motorcycle crash on I-240 that killed a Memphis Fire Department veteran Sunday night. A passenger was also arrested at the scene.
Marcia Davis, 46, is charged with driving under the influence – intoxication, abuse of a corpse, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon – motor vehicle, traveling on closed roads, failure to obey a traffic officer, reckless driving, and resisting official detention.
Fabian Sanchez, 33, is charged with driving under the influence – alcohol, open container, tampering with construction signs and/or barricades, and improper use of auto registration papers.

Troopers say around 12:30 a.m. after setting up a road closure on I-240 and the Perkins Road overpass with Memphis Police, a blue BMW drove through the cones and into the crime scene of an active crash investigation.
Several officers say they signaled verbally and visually for the driver, later identified as Marcia Davis, to stop. However, Davis is accused of continuing to drive through the active scene, almost hitting officers and an MPD car in front of her that was signaling her to stop.
Troopers say Davis drove through the middle of the crash scene and over the motorcyclist, continuing on I-240 before stopping and pulling onto the shoulder.
When Davis was pulled over, troopers said her speech was slurred and that she had forgotten what had just happened. She was then arrested.
Marcia Davis bond has yet to be set, but she is due in court on Wednesday morning.
A silver Dodge Ram truck traveling on I-240 drove over multiple traffic cones in place during the road closure and crime scene tape, troopers say.
During a traffic stop on the vehicle, troopers say the driver was identified as Fabian Sanchez, and the passenger was identified as Cierra Pearson.
Troopers say a crushed beer can was seen in Sanchez’s car and that he poorly performed a Standardized Field Sobriety test.
While Sanchez was placed in custody, troopers say he asked for his cell phone.
At that time, Pearson is accused of picking up his cell phone and refusing to give it to the troopers so they could take Sanchez to jail. Troopers say Pearson appeared to be heavily intoxicated, and she became irate and refused to comply with directions before giving them the phone.
Afterwards, Pearson is accused of making statements to leave in the Dodge Ram truck after troopers told her they would have to tow it due to it being in the crash scene.
When she tried to get inside the truck on the driver’s side, troopers say she was detained. During that time, she was accused of resisting arrest and kicking troopers.
No injuries were reported.
Cierra Pearson, 23, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting official detention. She is held in jail on a $1,000 bond. She is due in court Tuesday morning.

Fabian Sanchez is held in jail on a $1,500 bond and is due in court on Wednesday morning.
