SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating Deshun Dinkins, who is wanted in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident where a woman was attacked in front of her infant.
Police say Dinkins is accused of assaulting the woman in front of their nine-month-old baby, hitting her numerous times, resulting in multiple injuries to both of her eyes.
This is not his first domestic abuse case.
Dinkins has a lengthy criminal history, with six prior arrests also related to domestic violence. Including False Imprisonment and Battery of a Dating Partner.
Authorities have now issued warrants for his arrest on two new charges:
- Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment

Police urge anyone with information on Dinkins’ location to step forward. “Domestic violence is not a private matter. It’s a community issue that too often ends in tragedy,” an official for the department stated.
