(NewsNation) — A Kentucky woman expecting her medication and other supplies in the mail received human body parts instead, police say.
According to NewsNation affiliate WDKY-TV, the Christian County woman opened the package on Thursday to find two human arms and four human fingers on ice. Authorities said that the package was meant to be delivered to a nearby school or hospital for surgical training.
The package was later taken to a local morgue, who then contacted the carrier in order to get the package to the right recipient.
The woman also received the medication she was looking for the next day.
