TENNESSEE (WREG) — For more than 100 days, loved ones have been awaiting answers in the disappearance of 37-year-old Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Dumas Jr., an Alabama realtor, last seen in December.

Loved ones are pleading for answers after Dumas was last seen in Huntsville, but investigators say his cell phone was tracked in the Memphis area about six days after his disappearance.

Five people were arrested in Parkway Village in connection with his disappearance, but the mother of Dumas’ oldest son told WREG that although there have been arrests, the family still has unanswered questions.

For more than 100 days, loved ones have been awaiting answers in the disappearance of 37-year-old Ronald, ‘Ronnie’ Dumas Jr.

Shakeria Samples, the mother of his oldest son, says her nightmare started on December 15.

“I had spoke to him later that evening and he was out with people, I could hear people in the background, so I just assumed, you know, that he was out with friends, so I just told him you know, ‘Enjoy yourself. I’ll talk to you later,'” Shakeria Samples, Mother of Ronald Dumas.

On December 16, Dumas’ roommate called Samples and told her that he had not returned home.

The Huntsville Police Department says Dumas was last seen on surveillance video with two women at a liquor store in Huntsville.

When Tuesday came around and there were still no signs of him, his loved ones knew something was wrong, so they filed a police report.

“It was extremely difficult in the beginning. It was so slow-moving. We did not find out, the family did not find out that there was foul play involved until February,” said Samples.

That is when five people were arrested in connection with his disappearance.

Quintarius White and Kierra Clark were charged with aggravated kidnapping and other crimes, while three other suspects were arrested on harboring charges.

Authorities say the suspects lived in Memphis, more than 200 miles away from where Dumas was last seen.

Although there have been arrests, Dumas’ loved ones say he still has not been found, which has made life difficult for his three children.

“Not knowing how to explain this to his kids. They’re asking us and looking for their dad and, ‘Is Daddy going to come home? Is Daddy okay?’ And it’s beyond my words, I can’t even describe how difficult it is to just tell these kids that, ‘We don’t know.’”

As the family waits for answers in their loved one’s disappearance, they’re leaning on their faith during this difficult time.

Dumas’ family is offering a $3,500 reward for any information that can lead to his whereabouts.
