Man injured in late-night stabbing at Bally’s Casino, no charges filed

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Shreveport police are investigating a late-night stabbing that left one man seriously injured, and no criminal charges to face. 

The incident happened just after 9 p.m. on Dec. 22, 2025, at Bally’s casino, located at 451 Clyde Fant Parkway. Officers responding to the scene found an adult male suffering from significant injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to recover. 

According to Shreveport Police, detectives conducted an on-scene investigation that included witness statements and surveillance footage. Investigators identified Bernard Miles as a suspect in the incident and believe he may have been under the influence of narcotics at the time.

Police say evidence shows Miles initiated the confrontation, assaulted the victim, and made multiple threats. During the physical altercation, Miles was injured after being cut with a glass bottle. 

Detectives determined the victim acted in self-defense. He also told investigators that he does not wish to pursue charges against Miles. Therefore, no arrest has been made at this time, and no charges have been filed. 

The investigation remains ongoing.
