QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents broke down the door of a Queens family’s home last week in a video released by the New York Immigration Coalition on Wednesday.
The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) released footage of the Nov. 13 operation in Queens, claiming the agents did not identify themselves or provide a warrant.
“The agents pointed firearms at a mother and her four children, and forcibly removed the mother from her bed,” the Coalition said in a statement.
In exterior video of the home, masked and unmasked agents wore vests and helmets. One agent held a riot shield.
From video inside the home, agents slammed open a bedroom door with a flashlight shining directly toward the woman holding a recording device.
One agent said, “Put your [expletive] hands up, stupid!” as they entered.
“I have my baby, no!” A woman said in response.
“Then I’m coming to get you by your baby, so come out here,” the agent said as he approached her.
The Coalition also claims the agents were allegedly searching for a person who did not live at that address and threatened to return to the home.
ICE representatives did not immediately respond to PIX11’s request for comment on the videos.
On Tuesday, White House border czar Tom Homan said that ICE operations in New York City would be ramping up in the near future.
Last month, federal agents clashed with a large crowd in Lower Manhattan after conducting an operation on Canal Street. The NYPD and other New York City officials were made aware of the raid on Canal Street the morning before executing the operation, according to a spokesperson for the department.
On Tuesday, New York City Comptroller Brad Lander opted for a trial related to his arrest at 26 Federal Plaza while trying to inspect immigration detention facilities in September.
