CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A Michigan farm is giving away its remaining Christmas trees to people who cannot afford one this year.

Deep Roots Produce on Whitneyville Avenue at 84th Street in Caledonia Township has around 60 trees left on its lot, the farm posted on social media Sunday evening. Instead of extending the season, the farm is choosing to donate them.

“We know the holidays can be tough for many. If you or someone you know cannot afford a tree this year, we have a couple opportunities to get a free Christmas tree,” Deep Roots Produce wrote in the post.

People who would like a tree should come to Deep Roots on Monday or Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. or the farm will deliver anywhere within 10 miles. For delivery, message Deep Roots Produce on Facebook, it said.
