Authorities are working to determine a motive in the deadly shooting of a man in a Huntington Beach neighborhood late Sunday night.
Officers responded around 11:30 p.m. to a home in the 4500 block of Scenario Drive after receiving a call reporting shots fired, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.
Police found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. It was unclear whether he was located inside or outside the residence. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he later died.
His identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.

Investigators identified Robert Emery, 48, of Huntington Beach, as a suspect through evidence collected at the scene and witness interviews. Emery was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder, police said.
