(NewsNation) — In a series of recent posts on social media, Justin Bieber is sharing his frustrations and struggles in life, but revealing he still remains a person of faith and a follower of Jesus Christ.
After posting a message on Instagram about being tired of “transactional relationships,” the two-time Grammy winner and father followed up by writing, “We wanna make our life about work so bad. But this life is about God. Loving us so we can love each other. Quit making ur life about work. God will always inspire you to want to work harder.”
Bieber, 31, concluded with a message of faith, saying, “Jesus was always the answer to pain we are all facing.”
Justin Bieber navigating music industry solo
The series of messages comes as Bieber continues to navigate the music industry solo, choosing to self-manage after breaking with his longtime team last summer, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The Canadian singer, songwriter and actor has opened up over the years about his Christian faith.
In 2020, Bieber shared pictures of his baptism along with his model wife Hailey Baldwin.
“The moment @haileybieber my wife and I got baptized together!” Bieber captioned the pictures. “This was one of the most special moments of my life.”
Justin Bieber, Hailey Bieber met as children
Their Christian faith has always been a big part of the celebrity couple’s relationship. They met as children but reconnected at a Hillsong Church service in New York City, according to People.
In 2020, Bieber wrote on social media, “As all of you know by now I am a Jesus guy. What you may not know is that I am not a religious man. I follow the teachings of Jesus and believe he is the Messiah. There are many things i have seen in churches that i strongly disagree with. Judgmental posture, exclusion, hatred, all in the name of Christianity. I want no part of that.”
Over the years, the mega pop star has been tied to the controversial Hillsong Church and, more recently, to Churchome, another megachurch.
Despite drama in his life, Bieber appears to be anchored by Christian principles. “I believe forgiveness is what keeps this whole thang goinnnnn,” he posted on Instagram.
