(NewsNation) — President Trump announced Wednesday in an address to the nation that paychecks are on the way for every U.S. military member.

The commander in chief said each member would receive a “warrior dividend” check for $1,776 before Christmas.

“Nobody deserves it more than our military, and I say congratulations to everybody,” Trump said during his speech.

Rapid Response on X said, “Active duty service members in grades O-6 and below, and reserve component service members in grades O-6 and below and on active duty orders of 31 days or more as of November 30, 2025, are eligible.”

Along with the checks, Trump also acknowledged the country has seen a record enlistment in the military.

“Last year, we had among the worst recruitment numbers in our military’s history. What a difference a year makes,” he said.

Trump’s military announcements coincide with his administration getting a head start on trying to build the next generation of government technology. The administration on Tuesday announced it has launched a recruiting effort for a new two-year program called “Tech Force.”

“Backed by the White House, Tech Force will tackle the most complex and large-scale civic and defense challenges of our era — from administering critical financial infrastructure at the Treasury Department to advancing cutting-edge programs at the Department of Defense — and everything in between,” the program’s website said.
