(The Hill) — President Trump on Saturday attended the annual Army-Navy college football game at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, where he handled the coin toss and met with players before the game.

Before he arrived, Trump said he was asked which side he supported, he wrote in a Truth Social post.

“My answer is: ‘You must be joking if you think I’m going to give you that answer!'” Trump said.

Trump walked onto the field and shook hands with the players and team captains. At the 50-yard-line, Trump did the coin toss to determine who would win the right to decide whether to kick or receive first. Army won the toss when the coin landed on tails, and the team decided to kick first. The president then went back to the Navy sideline.

Trump went to both sides of the stadium at halftime to spend equal time with both teams. By that point, Army was leading Navy 13-7. The president returned to the field and tossed MAGA hats to midshipmen before going to the Army sideline.

Trump at one point saw reporters at the game and joked, “What are you doing here?”

Navy ultimately came back to win 17-16.

Some of the field participants included Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Army Secretary Dan Driscoll, Navy Secretary John Phelan and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Dan Caine.

During the game, Trump posted on Truth Social that he was briefed on a shooting at Brown University.

The game came hours after two U.S. service members and a civilian were killed in Syria after they were ambushed by a gunman tied to ISIS, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed earlier Saturday. Trump said that the U.S.’s retaliation in response to the attack would be “very serious.”
