(NewsNation) — Congresswoman Lauren Boebert doesn’t believe the war of words between President Trump and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene will ultimately tank the MAGA movement.

“This is a very strong movement,” the Colorado Republican told “CUOMO,” appearing on Monday’s show. “I am hearing from folks still all over that they are very proud that this is happening and also want us to do the work that we said that we would do.”

Greene, R-Ga., said Sunday that Trump’s recent criticism of her has put her “life in danger.” The president withdrew his endorsement of Greene late Friday, the culmination of an online feud. Trump also called the conservative firebrand a “traitor” on his Truth Social platform Saturday, remarks that Greene called “so extremely wrong.”

Greene has criticized Trump and the GOP throughout his second term in office, opposing his strikes on Iran and saying the party did not have an adequate plan to address health care during the government shutdown. She was also one of four House Republicans, along with Reps. Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Nancy Mace of South Carolina to sign a discharge petition to force a vote on a bill directing the Justice Department to release files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

“There’s just been a pattern of just kind of challenging common-sense things,” Boebert said. “We all campaigned with President Trump for mass deportations. I had a bill that said build the wall, deport them all. And now I’m hearing that I have a Republican colleague who is opposing the deportations that are happening under this administration.

“And so it’s not just one issue that she’s been at odds with the president on. There have been many, and unfortunately, this was the one that he decided to come after her about again.”

Greene sparred over several subjects with me: Boebert

Boebert pointed out that Greene going back and forth with Trump isn’t surprising.

The two colleagues have been on different sides of many subjects, she said.

“She and I have disagreed on subjects in the past,” Boebert said. “One major one was the (House) speakership of Kevin McCarthy. Some deals were cut before those votes were made, and I wanted sensible rules that the House would abide by, like single-subject legislation, individual appropriations bills.”
