(NewsNation) — President Donald Trump announced he will release the remaining classified files on the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy on Tuesday.

The big question is: Will the public learn any new information from the files? Ross Coulthart, special correspondent and investigative journalist for NewsNation, said he has been told that some of the files could show that the CIA knew more than they said.

“I’ve been told it’s going to be very embarrassing for the agency,” Coulthart said on Tuesday. “There are a few people in the intelligence community who will be very nervous about what these documents reveal.”

Coulthart also talked about President Donald Trump, saying that it is “quite unique” for a president to insist on these documents to be unredacted when released to the public.

“Frankly, we’re just going to have to wait and see,” he told NewsNation.

A spokesperson told NewsNation that the Kennedy files would be released Tuesday afternoon, but a specific time was not given.
