CHICAGO (WGN) — A dead rat and a handwritten note with “derogatory statements” were found outside a Chicago alderman’s office on Sunday evening.

Chicago police officers responded to a call for service in the 5600 block of North Western Avenue at 7:30 p.m.

Officers found a deceased rat and a handwritten note containing “derogatory statements” on the doorstep of the office building that seemingly belongs to Alderman Andre Vasquez.
