(NewsNation) — Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., is doubling down on her previous comments about President Donald Trump.
During a recent appearance on NewsNation, following the Islamic terrorist attack in Sydney, Australia, Wasserman Schultz suggested the president was a greater threat to American values than extreme Islam.
“Donald Trump is a threat to our democracy, and I certainly think that Islamic fundamentalism is a threat generally, but if you’re asking me, what the biggest threat right now that Americans are facing? it is Donald Trump,” Wasserman Schultz told “On Balance” on Tuesday.
“Because he has single-handedly begun to dismantle our democracy. He is ignoring the Constitution … Donald Trump is a terrible president. He’s making life harder for Americans,” she added.
